I am Mădălina-Maria Lejean-Anușca, an educator and chess trainer dedicated to transforming the way children learn. I currently lead the “Educație prin Șah” (Education through Chess) program of the Romanian Chess Federation, promoting chess as a powerful tool for education. My work focuses on using chess to develop critical thinking, creativity, concentration, and confidence. Through school programs, teacher training, international projects, and collaborations with organizations such as ChessKid, I help bring chess into classrooms and communities. Because when children learn to think like chess players, they learn to think for life.
Educational chess can be a transformative tool for teachers who may not be chess players themselves but are eager to make a meaningful impact on their students’ lives.
